I purchased this toaster a couple of days ago and plan to return it. Using the bagel setting on 2 1/2, I ended up with a rock hard, partly burnt bagel. Tried using the regular toast setting and ended up with toast that was almost burnt on the bottom half of both slices while normally toasted on the top. Would recommend not purchasing this toaster.
